Rolling

In this lesson, we will look at the rolling mode for a node along a curve.

A couple of important points. At the moment (version 1.8), the alignment is not perfect for curved surfaces, so there may be intersections. To reduce intersections, the profile for the curve needs to be aligned using the align object node.

Although in the lesson I used circle wave mode, the wave deformer node, which distorts each one slightly differently, you can use 1-axis deformation. There are screenshots of such options below.

Note that I have interpolated the indexes for the ID slot. Without this, the random node produces a different result.
